Robyn Tsukayama | Director, People Operations

Robyn Tsukayama is a “builder” with over 15 years of leadership experience developing organizations, products, teams, and people. She is passionate about re-imagining a more inclusive and equitable society. Leveraging her background in engineering to break down complicated organizational problems; her goal is to leave a lasting impact on the people she works with by building teams and supporting others on their growth journeys.

Currently the Director of People Operations for Gary Community Ventures, she works on enabling our people for success through collaborating with internal teams and responding with innovative and streamlined processes, tools, and resources to maximize the impact of our greatest asset — each other.

Robyn started her career as an engineer in the automotive industry developing patented sealing systems and completing testing for customers like Nissan, BMW, and Honda. While at Procter & Gamble, as a Product Engineer, she oversaw product testing at factories in Europe. Her education industry experience spans working for Harvard University overseeing change management strategies across graduate schools and central operations, leading turnaround projects for an urban college in her hometown of Detroit, and supporting rapid scaling efforts at Guild Education. Before joining, Gary Community Ventures Robyn was an operations and management consultant for early stage startups, specializing in purpose driven organizations in the Denver area.
