Brian Hiatt is a technology leader passionate about bridging tech, data and policy to develop breakthrough solutions for Colorado kids and families. As Gary’s Vice President of Ventures, Brian leads a team of individuals who co-create tech products and data solutions with Colorado families, organizations and businesses to produce new outcomes at scale. In his role, he is focused on creating products to help families understand and apply for benefits, increase students’ access to afterschool opportunities and improve the universal preschool experience.

Previously, Brian was the chief technology officer at Gary’s venture known as COVIDCheck Colorado, where he led product and data teams to deliver over 1.9 million COVID-19 tests and 300,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. His accomplishments include maintaining COVIDCheck Colorado’s average net promoter score of 89, developing a COVID-19 attestation solution for Colorado’s largest school district, and scaling administrative technology solutions for a rapidly growing team.

Brian lives in the West Colfax neighborhood of Denver with his wife and son. In his free time, Brian enjoys mountain biking, rockhounding and backpacking across Colorado.
