Caleb Peña is a full stack web developer who believes that everyone should have access to the same tools and opportunities.
Among other responsibilities, Caleb is working with Gary’s tech team to build and manage a tool called MyFriendBen, which helps Colorado families discover government benefits that they are likely eligible for. That work involves creating a program to calculate benefit eligibility and estimated value based off of information from a short screener, as well as collaborating with Policy Engine to implement rules as code in a centralized API.
Caleb has previously worked with CrossPurpose, a career guidance service in Denver that offers training and certification programs in in-demand industries, to help streamline the process of sharing jobs with their participants. Caleb is a self taught web developer with a passion for programming and his community.
