By collaborating with community partners, we aim to reduce the harmful, lasting effects of poverty on children by increasing income for families and supporting parents.
Gary is seeking to identify 8-10 partners across Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, and Jefferson counties that are serving primarily BIPOC families who are interested in participating in a community of practice to explore how to connect family economic security and child development by addressing income and parenting support at the same time. For this RFP, income includes tax credits, public benefits, emergency assistance, direct cash assistance, mutual aid, and/or paid family leave. Parenting capacity includes strategies such as home visiting, parenting circles, parenting classes, parent skills training, and/or parenting groups with direct contact with parents.
Selected partners will work across a 13-month period (December 2023 through December 2024) as part of a Community of Practice to:
